Tournaments, Sit & Gos and Satellites

Regular tournaments are scheduled for a certain time and start with a random draw at that time, assigning players to the tables, also giving some players a first round bye depending on the number of participants. The tournament format is single elimination. Usually the top four or eight finishers will get a share of the prize pool.

Sit & Gos are tournaments with a fixed number of spots, usually four or eight, starting as soon as the necessary numbers of players have registered for the event. There is a random draw but no byes. The format is single elimination. One winner or both finalists take a share of the prize pool.

Satellites are tournaments that reward seats to other, bigger buy-in tournaments. In case the money in the prize pool does not equal a specific number of seats, the money exceeding the seat pool is won by the players finishing short of winning a seat.
